Oh, this whole world keeps spinning 'round. It's a wonder tall trees ain't layin' down. There comes a time, comes a time.

Incubating Duck Eggs

Our incubator is an automatic turner. The temperature for duck eggs is 99.50F. Dusk eggs take 25-28 days to hatch.
The incubator is in the basement because the turning makes a constant whirring noise. But the basement was cold enough it was holding the temperature at 96F, so we wrapped a old blanket around it for insulation. In 10 minutes it rocketed up to 105F. We turned it down a bit and now we are waiting for it to stabilize before we put the eggs in.
We have 14 eggs. I hope all of them hatch!
Tommi was such a good momma last year. Too bad she doesn't get babies this year.

Good luck with the duck eggs. I still like Tommy.
